First Blog Post…eek!

So here goes nothing right? Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Molly and I currently teach 2nd grade in upstate South Carolina. I have only been teaching for 3 years! I still feel like a newbie but I learn something new every day! I am an active *bloggee* in the sense that I read other people’s blogs… like a lot. I even tried to get it approved for PD! I mean blogs and Pinterest are where most of my ideas come from so why not. I will let you know it didn’t work. The thing I am most known for saying at work is “found it on Pinterest” or “it’s on that blog I told you about” I actually refer to bloggers by names now, not the name of their blog but their personal name. So instead of “that blog I told you about” I now say “I got it from Amanda, you know I told you about her.” To say I am obsessed would be an understatement.

So here I am now starting my own blog. I am going to use this blog to document my adventures in teaching 2nd grade. I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while and I’ve decided this summer is the summer! I cannot wait to share with you all {I am from the south so know it was a conscious effort to not say ya’ll here} the learning experiences and adventures I encounter this upcoming year! I found a “would you rather game” and thought what a perfect introduction blog post! So here were my results to share with ya’ll {sorry it’s just easier!}

1.     Watch, Star Wars, or Star Trek?
o  Star Wars I actually just watched them all for the first time right before the newest one came out. I know I am behind the times, but Star Wars is pretty awesome!
2.   Read on a Kindle or paperback book?
o  I am actually really into audio books right now! I have a 1 year old goldendoodle puppy so I will download and audio book and listen while we walk! I didn’t think I would be into it, but I love it and it inspires me to walk a little bit longer to get further in the book!
3.   Go to a play or musical?
o   Musical! I am currently OBSESSED with Hamilton! I have not seen it because I don’t have 1,000 dollars to throw around, but If you see me jamming in my car chances are it is to the Hamilton soundtrack. I am also not ashamed to say I have entered the ticket lottery which would require me to buy a plane ticket and be in NYC in 4 hours if I were to win. I have a go bag packed and ready!
4.   Wear jeans or chinos?
o  Okay so I actually LOLed when I read this question because I’m 25 so like def no to chinos but then I remembered that I am obsessed with the pixie pants from Old Navy. I love love love them for school they are comfy and easy to move in. Great for hanging out with 7 and 8 year olds on the carpet! And guess which pixie style is my fav? Chinos! Haha So I guess I’d say Chinos over jeans!
5.   Have a Margarita or Pina Colada?
o  Margaritas all the way. I’m not a big coconut person. My favorite type of margarita would be a jalapeƱo margarita! Delicious!
6.   Crash with friends or stay in a hotel?
o  Hotel. I like having my own space and not worrying about cleaning up after myself. I love after a day of exploring a new city coming back to a freshly made bed!
7.   Vacation in Hawaii or Alaska, and why?
o  Hawaii duh! I am a beach babe all the way! Nothing is better than relaxing on the beach all day with a margarita or two {or seven!}

8.   Swim in a pool or the ocean?
o  Pool. Only because I am very scared of sharks. I know it is an irrational fear but I cannot help it. I cannot bring myself to go out very far in the ocean without being paranoid about everything that brushes against my legs. {I am currently watching shark week as I post this}
9.   Watch sports or play sports?
o  Watch sports. I use to swim competitively when I was younger but not since high school. My favorite sport to watch would be football! I am a big Clemson tiger fan! I also play fantasy football with my family! Besides football I also enjoy watching swimming! I am so excited for the Summer Olympics!! I will be keeping up with swimming and gymnastics for sure!

Does it bother anyone else that there is only 9 questions?! I just copied it from a site and thought it odd too, but I wasn't feeling creative enough to think of the last question so we will just have to be bothered together!
